Massage and Aromatherapy….a Good Combination

8 Feb

True aromatherapy is the use of plants and fruit rinds to make pure essential oils. The use of these oils can be very therapeutic. Massage is a great way to use essential oil blends, they add another sensory “layer” to your massage session. For example, if you are feeling tired and stressed out the Lavender or Lavender Chamomile is a good blend to use. If you are suffering from frequent headaches or sinus congestion why not try the Peppermint Eucalyptus blend. If you have sore muscles and pain why not try the Muscle Rub? These essential oil blends are a bonus to an already therapeutic massage session!

As I write this I know there are some people out there that don’t understand aromatherapy. I have even heard it, people ask me is it smoky, or they tell me they don’t want anything burning while there session is in progress. Some people have this idea that aromatherapy or just hearing the word aroma means something is burned, like a candle or incense. That is not the case when combined with massage. The essential oils are blended with the carrier oil, in the case here, grape seed oil, and then applied on your body with the massage strokes.

The next time you have a massage why not try out one of Your Body Needs aroma blends? They are safe and they also smell great. It adds a whole new sensory dimension to a massage and it is also very therapeutic. If you are already aware of the awesome world of aromatherapy, good for you! Help spread the word about aromatherapy’s natural positive qualities!

I have found time after time that the inclusion of an aromatherapy treatment with massage therapy has helped in addressing my specific concerns that day. Whether it be sore muscles, lack of energy, lack of focus, stress, there is a blend of oils that makes me feel better.

It’s a wonderful and pleasurable experience and you should treat yourself to it at least once. You will be very happy and content that you’ve made a wise decision.
